Review:

So after watching the anime I was psyched to watch the movie. Slice of Life anime are always great. The movie is a completion of an untold part of the story in the anime. Its something that I wondered about watching the anime so I was really glad that the movie told that story. I highly recommend that you watch the anime before watching the movie. I really enjoyed learning more about Ohana and her mother in that movie. You will also enjoy the movie even if you haven’t watched the anime. Though I still recommend the anime first. Both the anime and movie are great it would be a shame to miss out on either of them. So make sure to check out the movie and anime.

Review:

I’m a fan of Maleficent, but I have to treat this as a movie so… First, I’m very glad that they made a movie about Maleficent. I hope they would make one about Ursula, that would be awesome. Back to the movie, the first thing you will notice is the amazing graphics and forest design. Also the verity of creatures living in The Moors. The second thing you’ll notice is how beautiful Angelina is as Maleficent. Then Aurora is born and you wouldn’t be able to ignore the babies cuteness. Probably halfway through the movie you’ll realize that no one had a decent conversion up until this point but who cares. The good fairies are funny.

Of course through out the movie they will show you some awesome battle scenes that by the end of the movie you realize that it was just another Disney movie… minus the music of course. The movie is amazing. I very much enjoyed it but that was exactly how it went. I do recommend it. I would give it a 4 if it wasn’t too storytelling based but it was. So enjoy the movie

Review:

I usually don’t like movies that are sad. Surprisingly I liked this one. I haven’t read the novel yet so this review is strictly about the movie. The movie began as a total cliche. Literally like every other romantic movie. I was disappointed. Then the movie took a completely different turn. the story was actually beautiful. I even got a favorite quote from the movie. It was that good. This is the first movie that ever made me wonder about how I actually feel about the movie that I just watched… if you know what I mean. Like there was tones of emotions there. Also the twist took me by surprise. I’m not even sure I can call it a twist I mean wasn’t that what the movie was building up to? Yet, still the ending made me wonder whether or not I like the movie. It was realistic and brilliant. Yet there was still that cliche aspect to it… but still beautiful. I feel like I’m just blabbering now so just go watch the movie, its good. Its really good.

Review:

Hearing about Bayonetta‘s movie made me jump allover the place. Watching the movie was like a dream come true. I mean Bayonetta in a Japanese voice :$ I’m sold. No really, The movie was incredible. The action is amazing. Basically it was all action one fight after the other, defeated a boss to be confronted with a new one. If you are familiar with the game its very similar to it. The directing is amazing and a very good story. I can assure you that you wont get bored. There were cute moments there and funny ones as well. As great as the movie was I was left unsatisfied. I don’t know why, it just felt like something was missing. If you played the game of a Bayonetta fan you must watch it.

Review:

Revolutionary Girl Utena is a very complected movie. Its very fast base and all over the place you might not understand somethings and the ending won’t make any sense. I liked how complex the movie was, it made me want to learn more about Utena. I loved the action in the movie. Also the diversity of the plot and graphics. I loved how everything was animated… like everything. Also the directing for the movie was brilliant. Of course I appreciated the yuri there there as well. Then again I’m a sucker for complexities. Therefore I believe this movie will only be acceptable to a normal viewer if they watched the anime or read the manga before hand. Nonetheless watching the movie provoked me to watch the anime and read the manga. I mean once I finished this movie I sat there for an hour trying to understand how the created made the story so mushed like that. I mean you’ll only understand whats going on at the very end. Therefore I believe that its a very good movie and amazing directing.

Review:

So I heard and read a lot about this movie before I watched it. I was also meaning to watch it for quite a while. I didn’t get a chance to until few months ago. So yes this review is very delayed.
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time I must say that the title itself is quite intriguing. The movie wasn’t what I had in mind. For some reason I thought she would travel to a different life time. Though the time leaps were a mater of days or hours. Though the way the story was presented was quite interesting, and I specially loved the twist near the ending of the movie. I also liked the fact that the character developed after the events that happened throughout the movie. It was pretty interesting to watch. Also, the amount of drama, comedy, thriller factors were just right. I never got bored and everything I discovered was always interesting. The movie was perfect specially the ending it left me speechless. If you haven’t watched it yet… I say it’s a must watch!!

Movie Review: The Great Gatsby

20130611-213444.jpg

Summary:

“The Great Gatsby” follows Fitzgerald-like, would-be writer Nick Carraway as he leaves the Midwest and comes to New York City in the spring of 1922, an era of loosening morals, glittering jazz and bootleg kings. Chasing his own American Dream, Nick lands next door to a mysterious, party-giving millionaire, Jay Gatsby, and across the bay from his cousin, Daisy, and her philandering, blue-blooded husband, Tom Buchanan. It is thus that Nick is drawn into the captivating world of the super-rich, their illusions, loves and deceits. As Nick bears witness, within and without the world he inhabits, he pens a tale of impossible love, incorruptible dreams and high-octane tragedy, and holds a mirror to our own modern times and struggles.

General Information:

Directed by: Baz Luhrmann
Based on: The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
Genre: Drama, Romance
Release date: May 10, 2013
Running time: 143 minutes
Country: United States, Australia
Language: English

Review:

I like this style of movies. They are so interesting no matter what kind of story it is. As the movie started I wasn’t found of the fact that Tobey Maguire is the story teller. Though I got used to it later on. The director was amazing I loved every scene in the movie. It was such a beautiful movie. Amazing story! I love the way the story unravels. I was also surprised to see Amitabh Bachchan in the movie. I’m so in love with the camera work and directing of this movie that I would see it again anytime! I totally recommend it. It’s a beautiful movie!!

Release date(s): May 7, 2013 (London premiere), May 24, 2013 (International)
Running time: 130 minutes
Country: United States

Review:

After watching Fast 5 I was incredibly excited for Furious 6. Though the movie was a bit disappointing. I expected there to be more car racing, but there was more car chasing. Also, there was a lot of exaggerative action… Which I didn’t like. Not to mention I watched this movie in Cinescape kuwait, which means there was a lot of censoring. It made the movie kinda difficult to understand. If your a Fast & Furious fan check it out. If not don’t bother!
