Review:

So after watching the anime I was psyched to watch the movie. Slice of Life anime are always great. The movie is a completion of an untold part of the story in the anime. Its something that I wondered about watching the anime so I was really glad that the movie told that story. I highly recommend that you watch the anime before watching the movie. I really enjoyed learning more about Ohana and her mother in that movie. You will also enjoy the movie even if you haven’t watched the anime. Though I still recommend the anime first. Both the anime and movie are great it would be a shame to miss out on either of them. So make sure to check out the movie and anime.

Review:

Hearing about Bayonetta‘s movie made me jump allover the place. Watching the movie was like a dream come true. I mean Bayonetta in a Japanese voice :$ I’m sold. No really, The movie was incredible. The action is amazing. Basically it was all action one fight after the other, defeated a boss to be confronted with a new one. If you are familiar with the game its very similar to it. The directing is amazing and a very good story. I can assure you that you wont get bored. There were cute moments there and funny ones as well. As great as the movie was I was left unsatisfied. I don’t know why, it just felt like something was missing. If you played the game of a Bayonetta fan you must watch it.

Review:

Revolutionary Girl Utena is a very complected movie. Its very fast base and all over the place you might not understand somethings and the ending won’t make any sense. I liked how complex the movie was, it made me want to learn more about Utena. I loved the action in the movie. Also the diversity of the plot and graphics. I loved how everything was animated… like everything. Also the directing for the movie was brilliant. Of course I appreciated the yuri there there as well. Then again I’m a sucker for complexities. Therefore I believe this movie will only be acceptable to a normal viewer if they watched the anime or read the manga before hand. Nonetheless watching the movie provoked me to watch the anime and read the manga. I mean once I finished this movie I sat there for an hour trying to understand how the created made the story so mushed like that. I mean you’ll only understand whats going on at the very end. Therefore I believe that its a very good movie and amazing directing.

Review:

So I heard and read a lot about this movie before I watched it. I was also meaning to watch it for quite a while. I didn’t get a chance to until few months ago. So yes this review is very delayed.
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time I must say that the title itself is quite intriguing. The movie wasn’t what I had in mind. For some reason I thought she would travel to a different life time. Though the time leaps were a mater of days or hours. Though the way the story was presented was quite interesting, and I specially loved the twist near the ending of the movie. I also liked the fact that the character developed after the events that happened throughout the movie. It was pretty interesting to watch. Also, the amount of drama, comedy, thriller factors were just right. I never got bored and everything I discovered was always interesting. The movie was perfect specially the ending it left me speechless. If you haven’t watched it yet… I say it’s a must watch!!

The four quietly lived in a corner of a city to conceal the existence of the “wolf children,” but when the wolf man suddenly dies, Hana decides to move to a rural town far removed from the city.

Review:

Ookami Kodomo has a heartwarming story. As you can see from the genre it’s Slice of Life, which means that the movie is about life. I love how the story built up. I was told that the movie was dull, but it was exciting. There wasn’t much action there, yet it’s very interesting. I love the animation. The movie is directed by Mamoru Hosoda, who’ve directed the amazing movie Summer wars. If you’ve watched Summer wars, you’ll know how awesome his directing is! Therefore, I strongly recommend this movie. It’s a family movie, with a great story that’s filled with life lessons.

Review:

I’m sure most of you knows Fairy Tail from either the manga or anime. However, some of you might not be familiar with Fairy tail. So, I’ll try to write two reviews for people that doesn’t know Fairy tail. I’m a Fairy tail fan this is why I had to watch the movie.

First Time Viewer Review:

The movie is about magicians that encounter a girl and try to help her remember who she is and help save the world. The story is heartwarming and funny at the same time. I didn’t anticipate such ending, it was interesting. There were some things there that you would never expect, totally ironic. The action is amazing, the characters are pretty strong. It’s totally shounen and a nice movie to watch.

Fan Review:

As I mentioned earlier, I’m a Fairy Tail fan so I had to watch the movie. I didn’t expect much from the movie but what am I about to write is a Spoiler so if your not up to date with the manga or anime stop reading. ;p
Apparently the movie takes place after the episode where Lucy finds out that her father died. If you’ve read the manga or seen the anime you’ll know that at that time fairy tail members were weak and they’d lost their original guild place. While in this movie they were in their original guild place and they were pretty strong… Which puzzled me. So for me the movie was just all over the place. On a different note Master Makarov keeps saying the “strongest members” and these members come up Natsu, Erza, Juvia, Wendy, Gray, and Lucy. As you can see there is only one S class magi in the mix… How is that the “Strongest Fairy Tail team”. Anyways, the movie was funny. The action was just the right amount and there was too much drama. I didn’t anticipate such ending nonetheless it was a nice movie to watch.

Review:

First thing first this movie is Blood-C sequel so I recommend you watch the anime before the movie. With that been said, I shall start the review. I don’t know what is it with the Blood franchise and trains, I guess it’s their trademark or something. I didn’t expect much from the movie though I was surprised by how well it’s made and how interesting the story was. Even though there were parts about the movie that felt like deja vu, it was still pretty amazing. I love the change that happened in Saya’s character. Saya was so badass and more skilled in this movie than any other blood series/movie. The action was absolutely amazing. I can’t believe I’m saying this but it was even better than blood+ bloodshed. If you like action bloody movies, you’ll love this one.

Movie Review: From Up on Poppy Hill

20130226-215148.jpg

Summary:

The 1964 Tokyo Olympics represented a new start for Japan—out with the old Meiji-era buildings that reminded citizens of bad times, in with innovation that spoke to the future of a newly peaceful and increasingly prosperous country.

Umi, a shy teenaged girl, manages a boarding house on the Yokohama seaside. Her father was killed in the war and her mother travels constantly, so in addition to attending high school, Umi must also run the family business. Her classmate Shun, an orphan unsure of his lineage, lives with a few other students in the old high-school clubhouse, a French-style, mansion that’s set to be demolished as part of the current modernization project. Shun and his schoolmates refuse to let this happen.

As much as they fear losing their shelter, they are also appalled at what they see as the erasure of their history. As the students organize a protest, Shun and Umi grow closer. What begins as a friendship develops into something deeper as these two lonely teenagers find a mutual understanding and trust. Yet when Shun starts to investigate his past, secrets emerge that threaten to tear the two apart.

Review:

I obviously watched this movie because its a Ghibli production. From up on poppy hill‘s poster looked simple to whisper of the heart‘s poster, so I had my hopes up but I shouldn’t have. The movie was nice but it wasn’t what I hoped. The art was pretty cool so were the characters. I liked the events in the story, like how they worked on the building and stuff. That was the only highlight in the movie, I guess. The movie had a sort of a happy ending, but I wasn’t crazed about it. It’s a beautiful story, but it isn’t amazing.
