Now, a letter from Hiroko to Ayaka has washed ashore with the corpse of a girl, asking for help.
Chasing after Hiroko, Ayaka goes to visit a strangely isolated high school for girls, which seems creepily eager to accept Ayaka as a student. Will Ayaka be able to uncover the school’s secrets and rescue Hiroko before it is too late? (Source: MangaHelpers)

Review:

I was very disappointed with how things out in the end. The manga had a strong beginning. Things were pretty mysterious and the main character wants to save her friend. Somewhere in the middle of the manga things start to not make much sense. Then the mystery starts uncovering little by little. Though at the end the manga turns into fantasy. I seriously don’t understand where that part came from. It was pretty disappointing. I had high hopes for this manga. Though with all the disappointment I have to say I really enjoyed reading the first 4 chapters. Other than that, there is not much to it.

Review:

The strings doll manga has a unique story. It’s about this game that’s created to control people like puppets and the game is called Strings Doll. Since its a shounen manga there’s bound to be a villain and the main character is obviously the hero. The manga’s art is pretty cool, and idea of the story is unique. The flow of the events was kinda predictable. Though it was a nice read. I also like how violent the manga got halfway through and it had a nice amount suspense. So overall the manga was good.

Review:

This manga was recommended to me a while back. Once I started reading, it was hard to stop. I would latterly finish 15 chapters a day, without even noticing. I don’t want to spoil anything so I’ll keep it short. The art is old school, which is perfect for this kind of story. The story is so mysterious, serious, and amazing written. I haven’t read anything like that before. The characters were so unique, personality wise. The manga is so good. The mystery there will keep you wanting to know more. You wont be able to stop reading. OldBoy is a must read!!!

Review:

Amnesia was more interesting than I thought. I’m not a fan of Bishounen(male harem), so I thought it would be a silly shoujo. Though yeah it’s actually interesting, the idea of the story how she travels between parallel worlds to find out about her past and figure out why she lost her memory. There were a lot of things about the plot I didn’t expect nor seen coming, so the plot is actually good. Though I didn’t like the main character much, or rather I didn’t like the way she react towards things. Oh, and Orion was the cutest thing about that anime!! To sum up, I wouldn’t watch that anime again, but I believe watching it was a delightful experience. Also, I’m still not a fan of Bishounen, but if you are go watch it. It’s different in a good way.

Review:

Hohzuki Island manga reminded me of another. The manga talks about a mystery in a school and all. I know the genre says horror, but its actually a mystery, thriller kind of manga… Its pretty interesting to read yet so predictable. I liked the way how each character’s past unravel. That was the most interesting part of the story. I liked the ending too it was nice.

Anime Review: Mushishi

Summary:

“Mushi”: the most basic forms of life in the world. They exist without any goals or purposes aside from simply “being.” They are beyond the shackles of the words “good” and “evil”. Mushi can exist in countless forms and are capable of mimicking things from the natural world such as plants, diseases, and even phenomena like rainbows.

This is, however, just a vague definition of these entities that inhabit the vibrant world of Mushishi, as to even call them a form of life would be an oversimplification. Detailed information on Mushi is scarce because the majority of humans are unaware of their existence.

So what are Mushi and why do they exist? This is the question that a “Mushi-shi”, Ginko, ponders constantly. Mushi-shi are those who research Mushi in hopes of understanding their place in the world’s hierarchy of life.

Ginko relentlessly chases rumors of occurrences that could be tied to Mushi, all for the sake of finding an answer.

It could, after all, lead to the meaning of life itself… [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Review:

I love the idea behind Mushi-shi. I so regret not watching this anime earlier. Its very inspiring. I also find it refreshing. Its far from all those action/ violence anime. This anime is so serene and calming. Also Learning about Mushi, you would almost believe their existence. So I believe That this anime is truly amazing. Plus I love the animation, the colors, and the sound track. I strongly recommend this anime. If don’t watch it, then your missing a lot. I’m out of words to describe its awesomeness.

Review:

I’ve been watching Pretty Little Liars for the past week or so. Everyone is watching it and stuff so I did watch it. The thriller part of the show would make you keep watching. I mean I only finished the first two seasons out of curiosity. To be completely honest I found the show to be kind of annoying. The characters were kinda clueless or even stupid sometimes. If you’re wondering how? Well, they have those moments where they leave the door open to check something outside. I mean seriously you’re four people its simple math. Anyways as far as drama goes its a pretty good show, and even if the first two seasons weren’t that much the third season is off with a good start! I believe that the show has got potentials. Obviously its pretty successful and if you’re into mystery you should watch it! or if you’re looking for a good drama.

Review: Dexter

Summary:

Dexter is a drama series on Showtime (US) which centres on Dexter, a blood spatter analyst who works for the Miami Metro Police Homicide division. By day Dexter investigates crime scenes, by night he hunts serial killers, why? Because Dexter himself is a serial killer. (Source: DexterAddict)

No. of episodes: 72

Review:

Dexter is the best Crime show I’ve ever seen. Why is it the best? because Dexter is a serial killer. Actually its not just that. It’s more about Dexter’s struggle with his ‘Dark passenger’. The way he knows that there is darkness within him yet he tries to be civil. Just the complexity of Dexter’s character will draw you to the show. Its absolutely amazing!!

Here is a sneak peak of Dexter Season 7:

Review:

Teen wolf is an awesome show. It has great action, and cool fight scenes. It the first show about werewolf in a long time. I mean with all these vampire shows lately, its good to see some werewolves as leading roles. As for the storyline its pretty cool, though its kinda predictable something. Then again its teen drama it should be predictable I guess. Awesome show, pretty entertaining and not a waste of time. So I highly recommend it, if you like werewolves.
